Tartan Village/D’Evereux West is a lovely tree-lined neighborhood of 440 townhomes situated just off of Telegraph Road in the Kingstowne section of Alexandria. These homes were built between 1982 and 1986 and have square footage of 1,350 to 2,253. Two, three or four bedroom units can be found here, as can two and three level floor plans. Many homes back to trees/parkland and others are all brick. There are designated parking spaces for each home.  Available models include the Pepperwood, Carlton, Rockledge, Carlisle, Occoquan, Fairfield, Seneca, Saratoga, Gunston and Monticello. All residents can take advantage of common grounds, four playgrounds, tennis court and basketball court and walking paths around the community. The homeowner’s association maintains this website to update community members on various announcements and events taking place throughout the year. Students attend Hayfield Elementary and Hayfield Secondary Schools. 

Tartan Village is in a wonderful location and within a few mile radius of Springfield, Fort Hunt, The Pentagon, Mount Vernon, and Fort Belvior.  Kingstowne Towne Center features a variety of shopping, restaurants, as well as a large movie theater.  Old Town Alexandria is also nearby and is the place to go for fine dining and an exciting night in the city.  Springfield Town Center is close by and has gone through a major renovation/upgrade featuring excellent shopping and dining experiences.

Lee District Recreation Center is very close and features a Aquatics Center with indoor pool with diving boards, spa, saunas; a Fitness Center with a variety of fitness equipment; a Gymnasium with multiple courts (basketball, racketball ect.); a Family Rec Area with out door water sprinkler park;  and multiple outdoor fields (baseball, soccer etc.)

 

The community's location affords the residents several commuting and transportation options including the metro, fast tran, and bus service. 

 

​The neighborhood is only minutes away from Huntley Meadows Park which is over 1,400 acres of meadows, forests, and wetlands. The park is well known because it is a peaceful escape from the busy Northern Virginia lifestyle, and is rich in  majestic forests, wildflower-speckled meadows and vast wetlands bursting with life. Some of the best wildlife watching is enjoyed there from the half mile wetland boardwalk trail and observation tower.
