Committees are established with the goal and purpose to help our community in areas of Community Outreach, Environmental and Infrastructure, Election/Nomination of the Board Leadership, and architecture control/policy. Architecture Control/Review Committee
The Architecture Review Committee (ACC), is responsible for insuring the community and its residents adhere to all architecture design and maintenance guidelines as stated in the Tartan Village governing documents. The ACC is also responsible for reviewing and approving architectural request applications and periodically reviewing each town-home unit for compliance to community approved standards. MOSQUITOES, ZIKA, and WEST NILE VIRUS
Fairfax County Health Department guest speaker went over Mosquitoes, Zika virus, and West Nile virus. They discussed what we can do as a community to control/limit Mosquitoes. The number one thing we can do is to eliminate standing water, particular in plastic/artificial containers such as bird baths, buckets, tires, water bowls, wheelbarrows, garbage cans, and garden pots. A lot has changed this year with the Board of Directors. During our March Annual Members meeting we elected Elizabeth (Bibi) Hines, Stephanie Taylor, and Katharine Kamminga as board members. Additionally, our former Board President, Dennis O'Hara, resigned from the Board. In late March the Board held a meeting to appoint Board Officers and a new Board Member to fill Mr. O'Hara's vacancy. Jason Zamorano was elected to fill Mr. O'Hara vacancy for the remainder of his term.
